MY LOVE IN THE SHADOW

Like the shadow you can't see during the day but still stays with you, am always by your side. Am happy when you are and sad
when you are, I wish we would share the same heart because you are a part of me and I a part of you. But regretfully we don't share a heart, our hearts stray apart by miles. And even though I would love to spend all the time I have to spare with you, we can't because you hardly ever notice me and as each day passes I resent you because when the end comes and you leave in the lurch, here I would remain caged in a box with something that once was filled with life.
