BAN IN FUNAAB HOSTEL

Most of the hostelites came back from class yesterday meet new set of rules stated below

The new rule amongst other new set of rules which were issued by the Students Affairs Division Office for Hostelites and visitors could be visibly seen on the notice boards of the school's hostels today. The rules are:

1. No male visitor/student should be allowed into the female hostel rooms, except common rooms.



2. Visiting period should be:

i. Monday - Friday (4pm-8pm)

ii. Saturday - Sunday (10am-8pm)

3. Locking of the school hostel gates should be 12am-6am.

4. Resident Students are expected to come into the hostel with their I.D cards. Their I.D cards should be used for submission and collection of keys in the hostel.

5. Visitor's register must be completed by all visitors and the host names should be indicated on the register accordingly.

Alot of hostel resident have complained that these rules are somewhat one-sided and some are just inconvenient especially during exam periods and given the fact proper and constant flow of water into the hostels is still a dream.

The desire of the school management to protect the hostel resident in understandable but the opinions of the hostel residents about things that would affect the hostel residents, I believe should be inquired.
