Lagos - Organised Labour and its civil society allies Wednesday made good on their threat to go ahead with the planned indefinite strike to force government to reverse the N145 per litre pump price of petrol, despite the restraining order by the court.

The protest in Lagos is led by one of the NLC’s deputy president and the union said they are not disrupting movement by motorist and other road users and that they are only out to sensitise Nigerians on the hardship being foisted on them by the present government.

Jos - Labour leaders were stoned in Jos, the Plateau State capital ,while trying to mobilize protesters to join their protest.
The labour leaders were said to have been attacked while urging the traders at the popular Terminus Market not to open their shops due to the strike, according to Daily Trust.Some youths in the area reportedly gathered around the union members while they were speaking and threw stones at them while chanting in Hausa, ‘Karya kukeyi,’ meaning, ‘You are telling lies’.

Abuja - NLC protest has just commenced in Abuja.Leaders of the NLC marched from Labour House in central district of Abuja to the federal secretariat, where the President of the congress, Aliyu Wabba, addressed workers.
He said the protest will continue every day until the government rescinds its decision.
Damaturu - Schools, banks, market, offices all defiled NLC order to sit at home in Yobe.
Abeokuta - Residents and workers in Ogun State went about their normal businesses, snubbing the call by the NLC for a strike action Schools, banks and other offices were open for businesses in Abeokuta.
